First Tropical Storm Of Season Fizzles Out As Four Tropical Waves Form

The National Hurricane Center tracking four tropical waves as Tropical Storm Andrea, the first named storm of the Atlantic season, fizzles. Meteorologist Erik Salna says forecasters are predicting a very active season with thirteen-to-nineteen named storms. He says you need to get your kit ready to sustain you for up to three days. Also, go over your evacuation plan and remember to pay attention to all watches and warnings. If you are told to evacuate, do it--storm surge can be more deadly than wind events.
