Mötley Crüe Announces New Career-Spanning Collection
Mötley Crüe is coming with a new collection that contains all their best-known tracks, including a couple rarities and a new high-profile collab. The 21-track "From The Beginning" covers the biggest hits (and some extras) from their entire career. That high-profile collab? The band brings in none other than Dolly Parton for a re-recorded version of "Home Sweet Home." In a statement, the band said, "'Home Sweet Home' was first released in 1985 as a single from our 'Theatre Of Pain' album. For an icon like Dolly Parton to sing on a song that has not only meant so much to us but to all the fans through the years, is a career high that means a lot to us. We couldn’t be happier to celebrate the 40th anniversary of 'Home Sweet Home' in this special way, and we’re excited to share this version of the song with all the Dolly and Mötley fans around the world." The album drops September 12th on CD and 2 LPs. See the track list for "From The Beginning" below.

THE WHO: Townshend Says Zak Debacle Is a "Mess"
Pete Townshend has said what many Who fans have been thinking about Roger Daltrey
and his firing, rehiring and re-firing of drummer Zak Starkey — "it's been a mess." Townshend told England's The I Paper that when Daltrey complained about Starkey's playing during "The Song Is Over" during their show at Royal Albert Hall in March, “I couldn’t see anything wrong. What you see is a band who haven’t played together for a long time. But I think it was probably to do with the sound. I think Roger just got lost. Roger’s finding it difficult.”
Townshend then added, “I have to be careful what I say about Roger because he gets angry if I say anything about him at all. He’ll be sacking me next. But that’s not to say that he sacked Zak. It’s a decision Roger and I tried to make together, but it kind of got out of hand." "I
didn’t invite [Starkey] in, right? Roger invited him. And at that time, I don’t know quite why he chose Zak, but Zak is another Keith Moon. He comes with real, real bonuses and real, real difficulties. I will miss Zak terribly. But quite what the story is, I don’t [effing] know. I really don’t know.” Scott Devours, who's been drumming for Daltrey's solo tours for several years, is the man in the hot seat when The Who start their The Song Is Over tour July 20th in Italy.
