A Kentucky mom found 70,000 suckers on her front doorstep, after her son ordered 30 cases of Dum-Dums off Amazon.
Holly LaFavers', son Liam ordered 30 cases of Dum-Dum suckers off of Amazon, when he was playing on her phone. When she realized what took place she did try to stop the order, but it was too late.
“He told me that he wanted to have a carnival, and he was ordering the Dum-Dums as prizes for his carnival. Again, he was being friendly and being kind to his friends, but he’s just not able to think into the future and see what consequences would be,” Holly said.
Each case has 2,340 suckers at $130 each, and to make matters worse, eight of 30 cases were unaccounted for.
“The packages, the eight that are missing, were actually scanned in here as being rejected,” she said. Holly hopes she can at least get that portion of her money back.
Amazon, did help with the situation and gave Holly a refundof $4,000.
Holly has now changed the settings on her phone so this doesn’t happen again.
